Who We Are

Crosspointe is a Gospel Centered, Bible Believing Church. It is our desire to spread the message of Jesus Christ locally in our community as well as having a global impact.

Mission Statement

Crosspointe Church of Lexington exists to reach people with the gospel of Jesus Christ, teach the Word of God to help grow in their relationship with God, and to equip them to serve the Lord ... Reaching … Teaching … Serving.

Our Core Values

God’s Word

The Bible is God’s authoritative guide to life. Therefore, we seek to help every person understand and apply God's word on a daily basis.

People

People matter to God and to us! People are why God created, why God sent His Son, and why we exist as a church.

Serving Others

Our interaction with our community, will offer healing and hope to others as they see the love of Christ in us.

Discipleship

The process of discipleship is a journey rather than a destination. No one should walk alone on that journey. The journey requires a traveling partner.

Simplicity

The pursuit of God should be simple.  We don’t have a lot of busy programs at our church.  We need to keep things simple so that we can keep the main things the main thing.

Our Beliefs

Bible

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments in their entirety, to be the verbally inspired Word of God.

I Corinthians 2:12-13; II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Revelation 22:18-19

God

We believe that God is Triune; that there are three eternal, co-equal, divine persons in the Godhead: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and these three are one God.

Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:18; Matthew 28:19; II Corinthians 13:14

Jesus

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe in the “Blessed Hope,” the personal, imminent, pretribulational and premillennial coming of Jesus Christ for His redeemed ones.

John 1:1-2, 14, 18; Philippians 2:5-9;  I Thessalonians 1:10, 4:13-18

Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Godhead who indwells and seals each believer unto the day of redemption. He is the Divine Teacher who guides believers into all truth.

Ephesians 1:13 -14; John 16:13; I Corinthians 13

Man

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and is consequently alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and unable to remedy his lost condition.

Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:1-12

Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God; that in grace He bestows eternal life upon any person who by faith trusts the Lord Jesus Christ as His own Savior from sin. We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God’s power and are secure in Christ forever.

John 10:27- 30; Romans 8:38-39, 13:13-14; Galatians 5:13; Philippians 1:6

Church

We believe that the Church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons of this present age. We believe that the local church is autonomous and, consequently, free of any external authority or control.

Acts 20:17, 28- 32; I Corinthians 11:13; Ephesians 1:22-23, 5:22 -27

Satan

We believe that Satan is a person, the author of sin and the cause of the fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man.

Isaiah 14:12-15; Luke 4:1-13; II Corinthians 4:3-4; I Peter 5:8; Jude 6

Future Events

We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life, and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. We believe that the souls of the redeemed are at death absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the first resurrection, when spirit, soul, and body are reunited to be glorified forever with the Lord.

 II Corinthians 5:1-9; Philippians 1:23, 3:20- 21; I Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:4 -6
